Does getting kicked in the testicles cause infertility and/or cancer? |
over the years (19 to be exact) I have been kicked "down there" 4 times, all of them quite hard. I'm just wondering how "they" are so resilient in recovering from direct-impact? So my ultimate question is: does getting kicked down there amount to infertility or worse: cancer? :( *e.g. Tom Green, been kicked down there for comical (albeit moronic) purposes, and he had testicular cancer. any correlation? It's what you called testicular trauma when the testicle was hit accidentally like when playing soccer or basketball or baseball or deliberately. Testicular trauma in some cases may cause testicular hematoma or contusion where there's extravasation of blood might cause the loss of blood supply to the testicle, hence will render the patient infertile because of low sperm count. It may also cause testicular infection. Wearing supporter and protection is warranted while playing . There are no known cases of testicular trauma to developed testicular cancer. |
