Do any irritable bowel syndrome sufferers find that cramp can be caused by close contact with their partner?

I.e, do you ever find yourself in pain for a while after you have been lying on a bed cuddling your partner?

IBS is horrible suffered for 15 years,would like to have a day out without looking for a loo, think ANYTHING can bring it on

WOW - interesting idea. You've got me wondering...
I had terrible IBS during the agonising break-up of a long relationship. I still have it bad whenever I feel down about being alone now. So my answer would be the STRESS of relationships probably causes the flare-up and the pain.

yeah, excitement in any way, good or bad, happy or sad always brings it on for me.

I have IBS and I dont think I have had that problem. However, I do know that if im sitting next to him and we are cuddling, my stomach isnt straight because Im in an awkward sitting position I will probably suffer with the IBS then so I guess that would be the same thing as what you have. I find that if I dont sit up straight then that will normally start my IBS off.

Not that I know of my IBS is only triggered by stress. But I hope not cause that sounds awful.
