Do I have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)?

I have diarreah a lot !! Like maybe twice a week and it doesn't seem to matter what I eat. I could eat Mcdonalds or a healthy meal but food seems to run right through me. I don't have it all the time. It seems to come and go but when I get diarreah, I get it bad! & painful. My poor bum lol

It's definitely possible that you have IBS. It's also possible that you live under a lot of stress and your stomach produces a lot of acids in response to this stress. I have two family members that this happens to. One of them was actually diagnosed with IBS, but both of them were able to get rid of the diarrhea with pepcid complete. If that does the trick - you'll know it's your body's response to stress. Then the question would be, what stress reduction technique is right for you. Exericise, journaling, praying, relaxing music, yoga, a long warm bath...

It's possible, but there are also other symptoms that go along with irritable bowel syndrome. Do you have a lot of intestinal pain before a bowel movement? Check out the website below for more info on IBS. I also have that horrible condition, but get days of constipation and bloating and terrible intestinal pain. I don't have diarrhea as often.

If you do have IBS you should try to stay away from raw veggies and cook them instead. Good luck, and see your doctor if it continues, otherwise you might lose a lot of weight or get dehydrated.

Generally speaking, it sounds a lot like IBS, but please bear in mind that if you've been having this problem for an extended period of time without having seen a doctor, please do it, and do it soon. There are other diseases that affect the bowels, showing these same symptoms, and IBS is the least serious. Crohn's Disease is a good possibility.

It's pretty likely, but nobody can diagnose you except a professional. See a doctor :D

They have medicine for it.. If you get a prescription for it, it can really help, as long as you take it.

It sounds like you could have it. I would go to the Dr. and if he thinks you have it, they have a prescription for it.

Take medicines, or talk to your doctor.
