Irritable Bowel Syndrome?

I recently read in a magazine about it and I discovered that I've had this for so long!!
One off the triggers are caffeine.
Well how do I cure this? And any alternatives to caffeine as my exams are near?!

There is no known cure for Irritable bowel syndrome, but there are many treatments out there which really help.finding your trigger foods, and foods which you are sensitive is really important.

Some soothers
peppermint and ginger tea
fennel seeds,
Isbacol From enzymatic therapy,(german product, clinically proven to soothe IBS)
probiotic supplementation, and digestive enzymes with meals
reducing stress, stress has been scientifically proven to make IBS worse.
avoid wheat, dairy, raw vegetables and fatty foods during a flair up of Ibs,stick to pureed steamed vegetables in a blender,or smoothies.
L-glutamine helps heal an inflamed gut,and the product seacure,is fish peptides high in l-glutamine helps heal the gut lining, clinical evidence of improvement. Source(s): http://www.helpforibs.com http://www.seacure.com
the best thing i can tell you is to find a fiber drink/tablet to take and take it at the same time every day. i had this problem too and i still drink coffee without problems. good luck!
I too have been sick for many years, and just recently discovered that it was i.b.s.I have stopped caffiene completly, and I do not even miss it.I have also had to stop drinking milk.I have gone to soymilk instead, which was nasty when I first started, but soon learned to like it.Quitting caffeine is a good idea for anyone anyway.Whether they are sick or not. There is a pill they prescribed to me called Bentyl, that you take before meals and at bedtime. As long as I stay off milk and caffeine and take my medicine,I do just fine. One glass of tea,and I`m right back where I started.By the way, forget decaffeinated tea and coffee,as it still contains enough caffiene to set your symptoms off all over again.A footnote:Native Americans often suffer with these types of stomache ailments,as well as people from some areas of Europe.
First of all, did you diagnose this yourself? If so, go to a doctor for a professional opinion.

There are many diets out there for IBS.
As far as the caffine- yes, there is one thing I know of that is very similar. Yerba Mate tea. You can buy it raw at your local whole foods grocery store. If you do it that way, you can brew it in your coffee pot just like you are used to. It has a slight bitter taste to me, so I suggest adding honey, sugar, or stevia to cut it out. It is also full of antioxidents.
works great without the shakes or the loss of ability to concentrate that some people have with caffine.
