Irritable bowel syndrome and it's even more evil cousin colitis are now thought to be at least partially genetic.

If you don't have it now and your parents and grandparents don't have it you have very good odds of not developing it!

No, not everyone gets that and some people do get it at young ages. If you really want it to look forward to, ask for it and maybe you will get it.
