Is irritable bowel syndrome a physical disorder? |
Is irritable bowel syndrome a physical disorder? Yes, IBS is a syndrome were your intestines are not functioning properly. I am a Massage Therapist, and I studied that Abdominal Massage could help reduce pain and discomfort while assisting the flow of bowels. It can phycialy be disturbing to those who suffer from it. If any meds do not seem to help, try seeking alternative methods of treatment, like a CERTIFIED THERAPIST who can help. But remember that an alternative treatment to Rx is not a one time trip, you might need a # amount of treatments, just like you may take a # of Meds. (I hope this makes sense you.) Source(s): Associate Degree, National and MS State Certified in Massage Therapy yes my sister has it. yep Yes it is. I developed it whilst pregnant. when it happens, your bowel habits change frequentl and it can cause pain, changing your diet can help. It can be treated with medication, a lot of people that have there galbladder out have it becaue of the fat the have a hard time digesting now. IT IS USUALLY ASSOCIATED WITH ANXIETY, STRESS..THATS HOW I WAS DIAGNOSED...NEXT THING I KNOW...IVE GOT ULCERS AND GERD. SO NIP IT IN THE BUD NOW...TAKE THE MEDS ON TIME, AND AS HARD AS IT IS, RELAX..WHICH I HAVE YET TO LEARN..GOOD LUCK |
