How do i know if i have irritable bowel syndrome?

I was diagnosed with it without ever having to go through tests...this is from 3 different doctors.

I get severe cramps...and most foods don't like to stay in my system long. It's a wonder I'm not a damn twig...but no, my body rejects mostly spicy and rich foods...but yet I'm still not a skinny chick. :P
