How do you know if your skin will retract after liposuction? If you haven't been a yo-yo dieter and are under 30 your chances are good. there are a lot of variables to the answer. It would depend on your age, your sex, where the lipo was, how long were you heavy in that area? See? If it is in a hard to exercise place, or if you don't exercise, they cannot guarentee the skin will still be elastic and shrink up. You may have to have a small tuck procedure. Or it is possible that it will, but nothing is certain. Ask your dr what he thinks, he knows your stats the best!! Good Luck!! wouldn't skin hangs down like drapes and flap around like a greyhound's ears? I'm over 30 yrs old, not extremely active, and have had lipo in my waist area. The skin retracted back just fine. When the doc was finished with the procedure, he wrapped me tight and told me to keep it that way...the pressure keeps the swelling down and helps for the area to regain correct shape. |
