Need Vet that will do liposuction on my dog? |
My dog is fat. I've tried diet and excercise, and it doesn't work. If I can't get a serious answer, I'll just take Fifi to Mexico. there is no such thing as doggy lipo... trying cutting her food, and using a brand with no fillers.... i use canidae, and my dog is amazingly toned.... fillers are like rice, chicken meal, wheat flour etc etc... if one of those is the first 3 ingredients, don't buy the food hahaha have you had your dogs thyroid tested? While you're there you get get her t*ts done too. try harder! I don't think they do that. What kind of exercise is your dog getting? What breed is it and do you know the average weight is? I work for a vet and we only joke about lipo, I don't believe they offer it for animals. I'd get blood work done if you haven't yet to rule out diabetes or a thyroid issue. It is a process of elimination so be patient. More details needed on "diet and exercise" IF your pet is on a reasonable weight loss diet and getting plenty of exercise and is still heavy discuss this with your veterinarian. Your pet may have a thyroid condition OR may need a prescription calorie restricted diet to help with weight loss. Many people think their pet is on a "diet" but they are actually getting way too many calories from snacks, biscuits, overfeeding, etc. Ask your vet. you can take the dog to the vet for an evaluation. There may be some underlying cause for the dog to be obese. Something medical. And although they may give you pills to correct hormones or check the thyroid and such I don't know of any vets that will do liposuction or any fat reducing procedures. But if you want to make certain you can go to a vet and talk with them. |
