Liposuction? How much and How effective?

I'm male, 20, 6ft tall and in good shape, but last year after christmas (after one too many mince pies me thinks) I gained some love handles which are proving quite a b*tch to get rid of. I've tried all kind of exercises and they just wont budge.

I have for quite a while been considering getting liposuction around the waist to reduce the love handles or even better get rid of them completely!

Basically the point of this question is:

What's the going price for liposuction round the waist?
and:
Just how effective is liposuction?

The cost is quite formidable, running into thousands for 1 surgery.

The figure could run from $1,500 to $7,500 or more, depending on these factors:

1. How much fat you want to remove

2. Your body size-the bigger the body size, the more the surgeon charges you

3. How many areas you want to do the surgery on - the more areas, the higher the cost

Here's a guide on the costs of liposuction: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/cost-...

It's not a good idea to go for liposuction because the effect may not be permanent. One thing very common is this - the fat may return if you don't eat healthily and don't exercise.

The other thing is this -you may not get the results you want and hence can be quite traumatic for you; you know after you've gone through all the hassles, risks, downtime, recovery and a dent in your pocket......

In other words, liposuction does not offer to solve your love handles problem. It's just a cosmetic surgery to contour your body.

Exercise and eat healthily is the safest to go. I'm sure if you do the right kind of exercise (cardio exercise and weight training) consistently and watch what you eat, you'll have results.

Don't be lured by ads which show you the "perfect picture" of bodies after liposuction.

Or people who have undergone the surgery who give glowing testimonies (they have to, you understand, after they've spent so much money and gone thru all the "ugly" things in relation to liposuction.....)

you wimp. you obviously need to try exercising differently/harder.
