Is it dangerous to get a liposuction surgery?

what are the pros and cons??
help

I've worked in several plastic surgery centers and have never seen a death from liposuction. However, there are always risks with any surgery. Each person reacts differently to the anesthesia. There are 2 kinds of anesthesia: they can knock you out under general anesthesia, or they can use conscious sedation which is like a "twilight sleep". The procedure is done by a cosmetic surgeon who is highly trained in cosmetic surgery procedures. The doctor will inject the area to be suctioned with a mixture of saline and lidocaine, and depending on the area to be suctioned, can use up to 500cc of the mixture. Once the mixture is injected into the fatty tissues of the person, it's then sucked out using a canula which is hooked up to the suction machine. The fat is stored in a container that then gets thrown away at the end of the procedure. As for pros and cons, the pros are obvious, that you would hopefully be happy with the less fat you exhibit on your body and project a better self-image with higher self-esteem. The cons are that you can be left with scars; it is painful; you can get blood clots which can result in a heart attack, stroke, or even death; have excessive bleeding (hemmorhage); have reactions to the anesthesia; and so on and so on. It, just like any surgical procedure, is a risk that you would have to decide if the pros outweigh the cons. Hope that helps. Take care!

There is nothing to worry about when getting Liposuction, it all depends on your age. Liposuction is also performed by highley trained cosmetic Sergeons and will even take you through a demonstration before hand. I am a Doctor, and i cant even execute Liposuction that shows you how Far medically trained these men/womer are

Any surgery can potentially be dangerous. Most people can lose their fat by doing simple things to improve their diet. The key is taking in in less calories than your burn. But not only calories they must be good calories. Also exercise even the slightest can help you lose fat and increase muscle which will in turn burn fat. It can be done but it takes will power and one has to be accountable for one's actions.

Any surgery has its consquences, even routine surgery always holds a risk so doing something like sucking out fat is obviously going to have a lot of consquences and you have to work hard to maintain this. Its not something you can have and then pig out on.It will permenantly change your appearence and the way you eat and ive heard the recovery can be painful. Are you willing to risk this for the perfect body? and are you 100% sure you've tried everything you can do naturally? You really do need to question yourself, also do plenty of research. Don't make a quick decision or think one day ohh I feel fat and do this.

Heres afew sites ive found which you could look at:

I think it depends where u get the liposuction surgery, i mean if u go to a bad place like Mexico or something u can end up all wrong or something u have to make really good research not only by internet but by asking ur doctor, and u should ask ur doctor i think that ur doctor can really tell u what are the pro and cons to having a liposuction surgery.

Yes, it can be extremely dangerous and has caused death on several occasions. You better be darned sure that you have a dang good surgeon with an excellent history.

BE EXTRA CAREFUL WHEN CHOOSING A DOCTOR.

well, its like this, if you are thinking of getting it done, make sure you go to a doctor that has a good reputation.I have seen some horror stories on television, on this subject, the people looked worse than what they started of with, better the devil you know, and all that, do you really need it????

the main pro u will be more happy physically but do need to maintain the slimmer you and the main con is physical scaring to death but check out the link

there are certain things during every surgery that there are precuations to, overdose of "sleepy gas" and stuff, but that only happens in a once in a while

There are risks. Sometimes there is excessive bleeding and on rare occasions people have died. But if you go to a reputable clinic the risks are pretty small.

its potentially dangerous of course, because you are getting fat taken out of you so quickly and no to mention large amount all at once. Ask a doctor about it

It just removes fat.

It does absolutely diddly sh*t to improve health in any way shape or form.

Pros: you become less fat

Cons: You will have dents in your body like a car involved in a crash

YEAH YOUL BE IN DANGER OF GETTING SKINNY !!!

its not dangerous they just suck out fat with a needle
