Liposuction...? |
Does anybody who's had liposuction have any input on how many dress sizes one goes down after the procedure? It says you only lose about 6 pounds, but does it make a significant difference? Any information is appreciated...thanks. There is only a certain amount of fat that a Dr. will remove at a time. It is not intended as the answer to weight-loss. People must be careful about the foods they eat and exercise in a healthy fashion. Depending on where the liposuction is done on the body, the patient will be required to wear an compression garment for approximately 6 weeks. This helps to control the swelling associated with liposuction, and also helps the skin to maintain its elasticity. Lipo isn't an instant fix..you WILL have swelling and it can last for months. If you are seriously considering liposuction, be sure to select a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has done hundreds of liposuction procedures. One should never go to an E.N.T. Specialist although some Dr.'s are performing plastic surgery when in fact, it isn't their field of specialty. Stay with the Specialist. He/She has trained and perfected that area of medicine. umm my friend died from doing that... Well depends on how much weight you want to lose during the procedure... The amount of fat removed varies by doctor, method, and patient, but the average amount is typically less than 10 pounds (5 kg). Reports of people removing 50 pounds (25 kg) of fat are exaggerated. I would advice you to look for the best surgeon around never hesitate about money in this types of things, your life could be at risk, so please consider it before, and see if that's what you really want. My grandmother who had one... |
