Is Liposuction safe?

After all that hard dieting ..resulting in nothing but gastric ..i thought of getting liposuction?but is it safe?what are the side effects? if any?

I had liposuction on my thighs, knees, and hips about five weeks ago. Lipo is not for weight loss - just body sculpting. Doctors can only take out around 5 or 6 liters. I didn't have too much pain but was pretty uncomfortable. You must wear a pressure garment for the first 6 weeks so I would recommend doing it during winter or colder months. Since they don't stitch up your incisions, there is quite a bit of "ooze" for the first four days. I have a little bit of nerve damage (numbness) that I'm told could last forever. If you decide to go ahead with the procedure, research your doctor and take a look at their before and after pics.
