Information on liposuction please? |
Can anyone provide some basic information/advice to someone thinking of this procedure? specifically, I'd like to know about: Local or general anaesthetic? Recovery time? BUPA hospital or specialist clinic? Any particular establishment you would recommend (Kent/East Sussex area)? Any other relevant words of wisdom about what I can expect? Thanks. Definitely have it done if YOU want it done and don't let anyone put you off - BUT, get someone really good to do it. Look up Norman Waterhouse in Harley Street, London. It's not cheap and the swelling is horrendous but I think the results are worth it. I had it done under my chin and upper abdomen and have never regretted it. I had abdominoplasty at the same time and was in for one night - it was a walk in the park! I had a general anaesthetic, but I'm sure you could have a local, depending on where you want lipo'd. Having recently had a different surgery at BUPA (gastric banding) I wouldn't touch BUPA with a bargepole, the care was absolutely awful and the nurses were like a witches coven - really horrible. Good luck, whatever you decide! i wouldnt do it...the results are never permanent and it can give you an uneven figure...you can also gain all the fat back...what i would recommend is that you lose weight the healthy way of eating right and working out...then if you have excess skin you can use your money to good use by removing that..good luck my friend! If you just want basic information, I would google this and do some reading - also check out the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons website for approved surgeons. On Answers you will just tend to get opinions and you need facts (unless of course there are any surgeons online right now!) Get liposuction surgery in India if cost is a factor for you.Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for american and canadian patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by NHS in UK.They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.If you still havent got your surgery done, you are better off getting it done in India. my cousin got her breast reduction/liposculpture/buttoc... lift surgery in India through the forerunners healthcare.she is more than very happy with the results.she just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise fore this forerunners healthcare company.i personally have seen the wondeful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company.hope this helps http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com... |
