No, because if you have large amounts of excess skin and slack muscle, no amount of liposuction, regardless of the technique will take care of that.

If on the other hand, you just had excess fat to remove, but maybe your skin elasticity wasn't 100%, then tumescent liposuction might work well.

But for the most part, liposuction is definitely not an alternative to a tummy tuck.
