How is the cost of liposuction determined? By how much fat they take out or by the area the surgery is at? |
And if you know anybody who has had it, what were they charged? Do you think for abdominal lipo it would be under 1000 dollars, or over 1000 dollars? (In oklahoma) Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America. Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star. http://www.forerunnershealthcare.com... Hope this helps I think its determined by your surgeon. All surgeons charge different prices. It pays to shop around. It will be over $1000. Just type in plastic surgery and you'll be able to find out all kinds of info on it. A lot more than it cost to exercise. They actually have a new liposuction option. It is called Laser lipo. They use this probe that pretty much just melts away the fat and you see results when you leave the docs office. There is no swelling or scars, you don't even have to be put under for it. Of course they numb you but you don't have to have anesthesia. The cost is around $8000 for this procedure, but I am sure if you researched enough you could find cheaper. Here is a link for more info. on this type of procedure: http://www.capuanousa.com/plastic/ultra-... If you would like more just search Yahoo for "laser Lyposuction". Good luck! I'm answering from Aust so not aware of cost in States but I know it is priced on the following: theatre fees, anaesthesiologist, assistant surgeon fees, surgeon fees (the most expensive of all costs), equipment fees and the cost of bandaging and compression garments to wear after the operation. On top of that you will also have to pay hospital fees for accomodation, pharmacy fees and pre and post surgery consultations with the surgeon. If you have more fat to remove, the longer the surgery, the higher the theatre costs, surgeon fees and anasthetic fees are going to be. It adds up to a bit....but if you have the money and are unable to budge the bulge any other way then it is not a bad option at all. Just make sure your surgeon is properly qualified as a plastic surgeon and has a reputable name. -own experience with lipo -having worked as a OR nurse It is over a 1000 dollars. I think the range is from 2500 to 6500. Depending on the surgery. |
