Plastic Surgery Question...under the chin liposuction?

Good morning. Has anyone had under the chin liposuction or any type of plastic surgery to have a double chin removed? I am not overweight at all, but this is something that I find very troubling. I know it is something I've inherited from my mother's side...my grandmother's eventually was hanging and now my mother's it starting to do that, and my sister and my female cousin has the double chin as do I. I think it ages my look and I'm ready to do something about it. Any experience or if any of you know anyone who's had it done, I would appreciate any information you can provide, especially things like cost, down time, how long it took to heal and if your were pleased with the outcome. There are a lot of really advanced plastic surgery procedures, though. Technology and plastic surgery approaches have changed over the years, so I wouldn't write it off as suggested in the preceding answer. Good plastic surgery comes from good research and smart choices...and moderation.

I actually just answered another question about chin liposuction and neck lifts. Was that your question too? As I mentioned in that answer, I haven't had it, but I've done a good deal of research on it for some siblings. It's something that really bothers them to the point of embarassment (I don't know how I managed to escape it!), so I'm encouraging them to at least consider it. The cost seems to range anywhere from about $6000-10,000. Big range, I know. It'll really depend on where you live and just your own situation. I think you can expect your downtime to be about a week or two (for brusing and swelling to go down) and then within a few months the results should be settled in. Best of luck to you! I dont like the look of plastic surgery or liposuction. The scars are horrible. My sister has had some surgery done and the pain and scarring makes it not appealing. Learn to love yourself and dont put yourself through that. Being a 30 year old male, I love eyeing older women. So I wouldnt worry about your looks.
