If I smoke on and off (like 1 0r 2 every other weekend, will i develop lung cancer?

It could happen. Everyone is different. My father has smoke over a pack a day for over 50 years & has no cancer. Some people could smoke like you & still develop cancer. Why risk it????

Even if you smoked every single waking minute of your life, you don't HAVE to develop lung cancer. Every person is different, as many others have already said. Every person has their own liability for cancer, which includes genetics, lifestyle choices, or other risk factors.

Even one or two smokes will increase your risk for lung cancer. Anything harming your lungs, no matter how minor, will increase your risk for lung cancer. Is it guaranteed you'll get it? No. Is it guaranteed you won't get it? Not at all. You could go through your entire life without smoking, and still develop lung cancer.

Now, compared to people who smoke daily, you'd have a significantly less likely chance of developing lung cancer. But that doesn't mean it is a good idea.

As Melt P says

Not everyone who smokes gets cancer
and non-smokers can get lung cancer too

Be warned that I started as an occasional weekend smoker when I was in my early twenties and regrettably smoke over 20 a day now

So please consider giving up now, while you can

not everyone who smokes gets lung cancer remember. And not everyone who gets lung cancer smokes or smoked either. However, any smoking is bad for you, especially your lungs. And a few usually gets you addicted.don't smoke buddy ;)

Most likely, no.

What do you want? A yes or no answer??? Come on...
