Help! My best friends' father has lung cancer. Do you know alternative cures?

I am very worried about my friend and her family. Her father has lung cancer and he had an operation and one of the lungs was removed because it was too damaged. Since then they have tried all kinds of medical therapies, chemotherapy, pills and the results are not good. Now the cancer have attacked the lung that was not removed. Doctors say he has still a chance to live, but they are not so sure how much. So, I was wondering does anybody know some alternative methods of curing cancer. He eats healthy food now. Do you know something that can help? I know that there are people in the world that have won the battle against cancer. If you who are reading this already have done that, please share your experience. We would be very grateful.

When it comes to lung cancer its not about a cure, its about preventive measures. i have many friends who smoke. I constantly inform them of the harm that smoking will cause to them. They just don't get it till its to late.

lo_mcg said it and she said it perfectly! Be ever so careful. A question like yours will attract scam artists out for your money like bees to flowers, They will all have claims of miracle cures or on the other hand that the medical profession is withholding the "cure". There are also the well-meaning but sadly wrong people who haven't had a cancerous day in their lives telling you all about wonderful potions to cure cancer. Alternative medicine is not medicine, it's a pipe dream.

I'm sorry that your friend's father is in this situation.

But there are no 'alternative' cures. Alternative in this context is another word for unproven. If a treatment has been proven to be effective it is no longer 'alternative medicine', it is just 'medicine'.

Wherever there's cancer there's an unscrupulous sh!t who's happy to exploit the desperation of vulnerable people by taking their money in exchange for ineffective and sometimes dangerous 'cures'

Anyone claiming they know of a cure for cancer is one three things -

a) Deluded - they have read about some wacky alternative on the net and swallowed the unsubstantiated testimonials whole. They often mean well, but they know nothing about cancer and they so want to believe that they swallow all the unsubstantiated testimonials whole.

b) Lying

c) After your money.

In response to this your question you are likely to get answers from well-meaning people who know nothing about cancer making all manner of suggestions.

If any of them tempt your friend's family, do a search on this site for some facts:
