My mom was diagnosed with lung cancer I want to do something special this mothers day any suggestions?

I also thought that three years ago would be my last Mother's Day with my grown sons... but here I am still, and they will be visiting me again this Mother's Day! A wonderful book titled "Chicken Soup for the Mother & Daughter Soul" may be a nice gift for your mom.

When we get older, all we want is your time. We have enough ornaments, chocs, clothes, etc.But often we are so lonely. So for someone to spend time with me, means the world, and it doesnt have to cost anything.
Dedicate the whole day to your mum and ask her what she would like to do with it. If she is feeling ill or weak , she may just want to watch tv with you, thats ok.

my ex-husband had lung cancer, and his is now fully recovered and remarried and healthier than hes been for years.

I'm sorry to hear this. I lost my mom recently to lung cancer. I know, that doesn't make you feel better. Maybe take her out for a mother's day brunch if you have never done that before. I know I love to eat food!

Don't you ever gave up on her..read in this book;
God's Medicine Is Best by Linda Wise (maybe your local library has a copy), chapter; lung cancer. Give her what she needs. Don't make her feel like she is dying.
