My mom has lung cancer what can I expect, even her feet hurt.? |
Can someone Tell me what to expect with my mom,she started to cough up blood,an Her Feet hurt her SO bad she can't even walk. I am on SSI, so I am Her caregiver. I am so sorry you are going through this hon. I watched my mom lose her battle with Parkinson"s disease. In addition to what Shelley said, get on the doctor(s) big time about you mom's pain. She needs to be on a very hefty dose of Oxycontin or something even stronger. I don't get it, but doctor's hesitate to prescribe narcotic pain killers, even to cancer patients. That's what you need to tell them - she has cancer and if you have to shout it, then do it! Also, stress the coughing up blood -she needs serious intervention and she needs it yesterday! You didn't say what stage, but if she's in her end stages, it's time to contact Hospice. They can get her WHATEVER she needs to be comfortable (pain relief, hospital beds, oxygen, etc.) |
