Ok, is it possible to get lung cancer from marijuana? |
I've heard so many different answers for this. I've been smoking it about a year now and I'm just curious. I've checked all over the internet but so far I haven't found any site that's said there is actually been a case where someone has gotten lung cancer from smoking it. Mayxhemxx - Well, it's like this, with no preaching! In limited scientific studies to date, smoking marijuana causes slightly more irritation than tobacco, the same type of changes that in cigarette smokers can lead to smoker's cancer. If you smoked as many and as much marijuana as people smoke cigarettes, cancer would most likely result, BUT it is not likely that anyone will smoke 2 to 3 packs of "weed." per day. Sooo, a pure marijuana smoker is much less likely to get cancer but will likely develop bronchitis. Tobacco is regulated, but MJ is not. That means occasionally batches of MJ may and will be secretly laced with other substances such as heroin or LSD without the buyer knowing it. Further, our American genius has successfully improved the marijuana plants grown so that current MJ is almost 20 times stronger than what our parents' generation had experienced. It will likely be many years before any well-controlled scientific studies provide a valid answer to your valuable question. You won't find it on the internet since no one, repeat no one, has definitively shown smoking of anything to directly cause any form of cancer. That said, smoking is dumb. Plain and simple. There is too much evidence that DOES support the findings that smoking anything, including marijuana, contributes to lung disease and the severity of many other diseases. Add to that, that pot is illegal, messes with your brain, can get you arrested and incarcerated where you might run into situations that are even more life threatening and it makes it even dumber. Note also, that I am not a fan of smoking and wouldn't dream of arguing that smoking does NOT cause lung cancer or oral cancer. I'm merely saying the "smoking gun" needed for the equation of "smoking equals getting cancer", hasn't been found yet, at least as far as I am aware of. NO. you will not develop lung cancer. watch the union: the business behind getting high. it explains how the government unfairly treated monkeys and starved them of oxygen so their brain cells died and thats why the government says it kills brain cells but also on the video it talks about how there has never been one case of lung cancer from smoking marijuana. you have nothing to worry about. You can get lung cancer from any number of things, including the smoking of marijuana, although users try to claim not, to justify their bad choices. look if u smoke marijuana ur gonna have some serious health issues whether it be cancer or screwing up your LIFE! seriously u should stop its terrible for u and its a big turn off YES dont do it yes and your brain melted |
