What happens when a person has stage 3 lung cancer? Can it be cured?

Well actually it depends on what type of cancer you are taking about, how far advanced it is, where it is located and if surgery is still an option, among other factors.

I was diagnosed with stage III lung cancer almost a year and a half ago, had surgery and chemotherapy, and so far there is no evidence whatsoever that the cancer is back.
