My 65 yr. old dad has stage 4 lung cancer , has 6 months left to live his dieing wish is to play golf with...? |
he wishes to play a round of golf with the pro's. i have wrote to many pro's and talk shows and with time running out i need help on other answers. i am also thinking maybe raise money and drive him down to watch a champion ship. i can't let him go with out him knowing how much he is loved and that i did all i could to make his wish come true... if anyone could help me PLEASE write me back...PLEASE There are wish organizations specifically for adults that you can contact. I know that they typically try and help make those wishes come true for kids. Its the first thing that came to mind maybe google it and it can walk you through the process or answer some important questions for you. Good luck. Greg Well... try and get him to the masters... Write a letter to the editor of your newspaper... try and get a local newscrew to do a little bit on it... Any type of media attention could help... Really the more you get the world out, the more likely you'd be to get the chance for him to do that. Keep in mind, that if you would try getting media attention to get a pro to do that, you'd probably also get some negative attention as well... But keep writing to them, not just present ones either... there's probably a lot of pros that are retired that have nothing better to do... If you get himt o some bigger golf-courses there may be somebody there who you could "meet" and see if they can pll some strings. Show him this message. He knows how wonderful his child is. It's very hard to get on the T.V programs as there are so many people trying to do the same. I don't know where you live but if it is a fairly small community, talk to your church about raising funds or possibly a resteraunt to do a fundraiser. Then find out where the pro's are playing and go there or better yet try to call their manager's and tell them your request. You don't want money, just one round of golf. I truley hope this helps.
