If u smoke for a year will you get lung cancer?

You don't have to smoke at all to get lung cancer.

My grandmother smoked until she was 96 and never got it; My old boss never smoked and died of lung cancer at 47.
I smoked for 25 years and did not get cancer. I quit 13 months ago, though.
no, i don't think it's that soon.
You can. There is no formula for how long you must smoke to get a disease. But your chances go up with each cigarette.
you can get lung cancer even if you have never smoked
well, im 18 nad ive smoked for 3 years now.. and im perfectly healthy!!
Depends on how many cigarettes you smoke on a daily basis. But even smoking for 6 months can cause lung cancer. My friend's aunt was recent diagnosed with lung cancer due to smoke inhalation. She had tried one cigarette in her teens, she never smoked other than that one time and her husband never smoked and they did allowing smoking in their house when guests are over. She got cancer from the 2nd hand smoke she was exposed to at clubs, work, restuarants and friend's houses. She is terminally ill and have 3-6 months to live. So even non-smokers can get lung cancer from inhaling smoke that's around them.
