Is there a cure for cancer if there is why didnt they use it on my great grandma she died from lung cancer?!:( There is no perfect cure but i know there are treatments that supress pain... But your graaaandma should have died of age.. sorry..!! As far as I know there is no known cure, but there are several treatments. Hi, there are a lot of different cancers out there. And they are trying to work on all of them. Sometimes it's hard to understand, but there are people who can smoke a pack or two a day all their' life and live to be a hundred years old and die from old age, then there are other people who never smoke at all and die in their' twenties or thirties from lung cancer. I know that it doesn't seem fair, and it makes you wonder why things happen the way they do. I hope that your great grandmother lived a long and full life before she got cancer. She must've been very proud to have had you for a great grandchild. I know that you miss her and it hurts. It may help you to know that she is in a better place now with no pain, and she is probably in better shape now than you are. Imagine her as very happy right now, with a big smile on her face, in perfect health, waiting for the day she sees you again, years from now when you have become old and it's time for you to get to see her again. I hope this doesn't sound corny, but it helped me to deal with my dads' death by concentrating on him not being in pain or suffering anymore. I have throat cancer right now, and I'm in chemotherapy. This is the 3rd time that I've had a bout with cancer. I've beat it twice before and I'm sure that with the good lords' help, I'll beat it again. Just know that sometimes it doesn't matter what the doctors do or how good they are, when God gets ready to call one of his children home. Your' great grandmother couldn't live forever even though I know you wish she could and it still hurts because you miss her. try to hang on to all the good stuff and remember it, and remember that she lives on in you. I hope that this helped you, and by the time that you read this I will have said a prayer for you that the lord will comfort you and help you to understand. Remember your' great grandmothers love, and that God loves you too! I wish you the best ! Philip Lung cancer is one of the worst in terms of cure. Most are caught in the later stages once symptoms show in other areas of the body. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer and died one month later. It can be very aggressive. We tried using Cisplatin along with a Vioxx type drug but it had no affect. I believe there are a few prospective "cures" in clinical trials. The best that i have found to date is Phenoxodiol used in conjunction with standard chemo drugs www.novogen.com is their website. But in short there is no drug out there that cures lung cancer. Standard Chemo has a very small chance of complete remission (something like 5% from memory). Surgery is the best bet is it hasn't spread outside the lung. It's a terrible disease. Tell all your friends to stop smoking, it's one of the most painful and terrible ways to die. I know, i witnessed it first hand. |
