What is the average percentage of people who make it to the 5year mark with lung cancer? |
Stage 4, 57 year old female, 15 years suffering from M.S., has had cancer for 3.5 years. Be happy you had her for 3.5 years! My mother was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that spread to her brain and other organs in May 2005 and died Aug 2005. She was 69 years old and a very active dancer! Count your blessings! Your very lucky! It's a horrible disease! my parent is alive after 8 yrs now a days about 70% I am a nursing student set to graduate in December. We happen to be studying cancer right now and according to our textbook 14% of patients diagnosed with lung cancer make the 5 year survival rate. Congratulations and I hope you cherish every day.
