I think I might have lupus, not sure?

I'm sure but I think I might have lupus. One day at work I started to feel really sick, I had a bad headache, chills, dizzy. I thougt I was coming down with the flu. Well I went home and took my temp. it was 100 but as the night grew on it went to 104, I was rushed to the hospital. They told me there was noting they can do.It was kind of weird because I'm never sick. Later I went to the doctor because I wasnt getting better, I was always tried and dizzy. They tested me for mono and it was negative. He said it can be a tons of things because I'm tried. My mom thought maybe I had lupus because at my age she got it. I havent gone back to the doctor yet, but I'm still tried and started not to feel good again. I feel like I got the flu. Can this maybe be lupus. I dont know to much about it.

I'm tried
Swore
dizzy
headaches
kind of pale even though i have fair skin
coughing kind of
thoart was swore

I cant really explain everything else

you should see your family doc. there is no real test that will say yes it lupus. there are a series of test that they do, but its usually a very long time before they come to the conclusion of lupus. do u get a red flushed face when u get these symptoms? there are a whole slew of auto immune diseases it could be. best start with getting some testing done, they will start with blood test.

might be be careful

I traded in my Lupus for a Honda.

i felt like you and thought i had lupus but didnt....its a possibility please get tested...good luck hun!

My suggestion would be to seek another opinion - given your family history of lupus. Have the doctor test you for it to rule it out - or to help treating you for it. Good Luck to you. I wish you the best.

The only real way to be sure it to go back to the doctor and get tested.

awwwh poor you. i know how you feel Ive been sick for 3 years stright! it really sux but you should go get yourself checked majorly like by a couple diff doctors cuz u could get diff answers from all of them. well hope you get better!

i don't know but go to the doctor asap. the sooner you're diagnosed and treated the better.

god bless.

You need to make an appointment with your Doctor asap. S/he will be the only ones to tell you if you have Lupus

you need blood work to find out, maybe you need some vitamines. or it can be depression, seek a professional.

This does not sound like lupus but sounds like the flu.

honey...see an expert...and avoid stress as much as possible...
start going to church...and pray that it is not lupus...

take care...
Good Luck!

Lupus is not easy to diagnose. Some researchers believe that a virus might trigger it in people who are genetically susceptible, but that has not been proven for sure.

Once other diseases are ruled out AND you meet some of the criteria for a lupus diagnosis, you will know. It takes many people a long time (years) before they receive a proper diagnosis. Keep at it. You deserve to feel better.

Hey i have SLE but in your case im not really sure if u are having lupus. But by your story it just like when i was first diagnosed i had lupus.( sorry didt mean to scare you in anyway). My doctor took some tissue from my kidney to ensure that i had sle because my legs and face were swollen badly.I hope you get better !!
