Does anyone know the best website that i can get pics of persons with lupus desease?

I have a friend who was recently diagnose with lupus and i want as much info on it so please help

There are 4 types of lupus-cutaneous or disoid which affects skin, systemic which affects organs, neonatal, and drug induced. You can find pics of discoid by typing "google images" in your browser, then typing in lupus. There is no site devoted to this.

You will not find pictures of systemic lupus because it affects organs. Lupus can and does affect virtually every organ in the body. 50 percent will have kidney disease.

www.lupus.org is an excellent source for learning all about lupus and its many manifestations.

Why would you want pics of people with lupus. My sister has it and looks like anyone else. You would never know she has it. Try googling lupus to find any info you may need.

There is more than one type of lupus - if she has discoid lupus she will probably have small round red patches (which itch) cropping up in various places; a steroid cream helps.
Systemic lupus is something much nastier.
There is a Nationwide Support Group for Systemic Lupus - just ask Google. Contact them for literature which they will be only too happy to supply.
This disease can affect almost every organ of your body and is often first diagnosed with problems in pregnancy, but there are now some very good specialists in major Cities; local care is usually under the wing of a rheumatologist.

You can't tell from the looks of a person if they have lupus or not. Maybe you are confused with leprosy.
