I dont Know what Lupus is Ive looked online but i dont understand and my doc said she can order more tests. she did say its a chronic disease. Do you have any more info on Lupus or know anyone with this? is it hereditary?
Thank You

I'm sorry to hear that, but I hope you don't have a very
serious kind. Lupus can affect different people in different
ways. What are your symptoms? It is considered an
autoimmune disease, meaning that your body is producing
antibodies against yourself, which can be skin, organs
blood cells and or tissue. There is no cure, but there is
treatment, and people can be anywhere from without
symptoms to serious enough issues to cause death.
Most people are treated with immunosuppressive agents
to blunt your immune system from raking havoc on your
body. Plaquenil is a drug often used alone or in
concordance with steroids. Steroids can also be used
alone. Complications of lupus can be joint pain, arthritis,
skin lesions, butterfly rash, pericarditis, cerebritis, anemia,
chronic fatigue just to name a few. You need a good
rheumatologist to treat you and educate you about the
disease. I would encourage seeking special interest
groups or societies to meet with groups of people with
your same condition. Some forms of autoimmune diseases
are believed to be hereditary. One may have one form
of autoimmune disease and offspring with a different
type.May god be with you and give you strength and healing!

It is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself. Sometimes the lungs or kidneys. They fight it with drugs to cool down your immune system, antibiotics and Prednisone.
