My daughter came down with lupus and she would like to know what ana choice is.?

Here is a link to information on the ana test. I am not sure why you wrote ana choice...

antinuclear antibody (ANA) screening They use this test to evaluate and compare the performances of three enzymes that cause inflammatory autoimmune diseases

I'm assuming you mean the ANA test for lupus?
ANA stands for anti-nuclear antibody. The test is looking for a protein in your blood that destroys the nuclei of your cells. There are also various sub-types of this test such as Anti-dsDNA, Anti-Ro, Anti-Sm, and others.
A positive ANA does not automatically mean Lupus, once again other clinical findings must be taken into account. The reason for this is because a positive ANA can also be found in many other autoimmune diseases. As many as 20% of completely healthy individuals will also have a positive ANA.

Hope this helps.. :)

I have no idea what you mean by ana choice. It is not a choice. Either you test positive or you don't. Although there are different positive test results, they are not a choice.

ANA means antinuclear antibodies. Most people do not make them. Lupus people do. So do people with a lot of other condtions.

Everyone's cells die and are replaced. When they die they leave dead cell garbage. Part of that garbage is the nucleus of the cell. For normal people, that garbage goes to the spleen and is disposed of. For positive ANA people, they make antibodies against this material. The antibodies stick to the debris of the nucleus, making a big molecule. When that big molecule does not get dumped in the spleen, but rather in the joints or other body parts it causes pain and/or damage.
