Does anyone if lupus is contageous..? |
My Mom Hugged Someone with lupus and know she wants to know if its contageous!.. It's not contagious. It's a blood disease. Lupus is not contagious. You should look it up if you need to know more about it. No, that's like asking if diabetes is contagious It is an autoimmune disease. It is not viral nor is it bacterial. It is not encapsulated. These things can be looked up on line. Lupus is an auto-immune disease. Basically, that means that the body has become allergic to itself, as I understand it. There are many auto-immune diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis comes to mind, which is associated with lupus. So is fibromyalgia. That's sad to hear.Maybe your mom should look it up or just not hug anyone anymore. no i dont think it is but i can do some reseach on it and give an in depth answer later Lupus is not contagious in any way.
