Has anyone with lupus ever gone to a tanning bed and not had a flare up or died? |
i dont have full blown lupus. i have a lupus like condition that i've had for years but is close to crossing the line of becoming full blown lupus. man im tired of bein pale! whenever i start using jergens everyone thinks im tan and their like dang girl your tan but come on its so tiring i dont want to do that every day or every other day geez and i mess up on my hands sometimes and it looks bad i want to go to a freakin tanning bed! i want to go to a bed every day for a week or two and get a base tan and then g to a tanning bed like once a month for maybe 20-30 minutes to keep it up. does anyone have any success stories with this ??? all i hear about is when it caused a flare up when they did that. when i go out into the sun i get bumps on my cheeks their not zits their bumps from the lupus their usually their all summer they aint too bad so i could deal with them if i was tan. please somebody help me and tell me if u used a safer bed or whatever!! its almost spring! PEOPLE WITH KNOWLEDGE OF LUPUS OR IF THEY HAVE IT PLEASE ANSWER EVEN IF IT CAUSED YOU PROBLEMS OR IF IT DIDNT AND YOU WERE FINe. or if you did it, it caused problems and eventually you got back to normal health i don't really know. But seriously why even risk it for a tan? Tanning beds aren't good for anyone... esp. not for someone with a skin condition. If you really want to be tan that badly opt for a tanning spray instead. tanning beds are bad. u can get skin cancer. Honestly, don't risk it. |
