I have SLE Lupus.?

Does any one else have it? I also have Reynaud's Phenomenon. I am a 21 hispanic female who was diagnosed over a year ago and I think I am still in denial. I can't differentiate being in pain because I am over working my body and just being sick from my Lupus. Can anyone lend a helping hand? I just think I need to talk to someone who has a relating problem.

Hi, I am 26 years old and diagnosed this past July. My first couple of months were pretty bad. I was having alot of kidney issues and had to undergo various treatments. I am on medications but am doing much better. Its upsetting to be diagnosed with any disease, but Lupus is not a death sentance. Just remember that. You do have to take it easy at times and listen to your body. Overworking it will only cause you to become sicker, which will then make you feel even worse. When I was diagnosed I was in school for my MBA, working a full time job, and having an active social calender. I took a couple of months off of school but continue to keep up the same activities I had before with few exceptions, other then an occasional break. Please, feel free to email me if you'd like someone to talk to.

Hi, it takes a while for everything to sink in and the timing is different for everyone. Don't be so hard on yourself. The estimate is there are over 1.5 million people in the U.S. that have Lupus. You are not alone.

We have a webpage that we just started that has the basic symptoms from the American College of Rheumatology. It's Yahoo Groups: Lupusohana (lupus family - in Hawaiian). Lupus affects people of Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, African American and Native American discent dispoportionately.

Raynaud's, Fibromyalgia, Periphial Neuropathy, Strokes, Kidney Disease and failure, Migraines, Arthritis, etc., are all overlapping disease and disorders. Please know that we are here to support you.

You can email or post a listing and we'll respond. We've all been there.

Some of us still are.

God bless.
:)
