How do you cure / treat lupus?

How do you cure / treat lupus?

I just asked a similar question yesterday - and it was solved! There MAY be a possible cure for Lupus! I copy and paste the part (or check the answers-part in my profile!):

"SOLVED: http://www.lupusrecoverydiet.com :-) !!!!

The book I was searching actually exists! And I even found some more, 2 of them even written by real doctors:
http://www.healing-lupus.com/
http://www.drfuhrman.com/disease/default... (they say that "Eat to Live" also deals with Lupus)
http://www.nealbarnard.org/books.htm
(here is even a book on reversing diabetes through diet!)

I ordered already 3 books, I will test anything which may help and is more or less scientifically backed! This does not look like a fraud to me!"

The "healing-lupus.com" seems less reliable, but 2 other are written by real doctors and backed by scientific research, so I will definitely give it a try. If you have Lupus too, you can write me, we can exchange tips and sources and all!

I found out the books myself in the end, but here is also an answer I got (another link to a Lupus case seemingly healed by diet!):

There is no cure for lupus. There are treatments including steroids, NSAIDs and others.

Here is some more info:

There is no cure for lupus. Treatment goals are to minimize symptoms and prevent permanent damage. Lupus is an overactive and confused immune system.

The aches and pains are often treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, etc.

Many lupus patients take a daily maintenance dose of hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil) which is a antimalarial drug that helps lupus patients suppress the immune system.

More severe cases are treated with stronger immunosuppressive drugs like prednisone. Even more severe cases are treated with chemotherapies like cytoxan, anzthioprine, mycophenolate mofetil, etc.

There is no cure for Lupus. The most current treatments are Prednisone, a steroid with serious long term side effects. Cellcept, a very strong immunosuppressant and it's time released cousing Myfortic. Cytoxan, a chemothearpy agent, used when there is organ involvement. Rituxan, a chemotherapy agent that only targets B cells, also used with organ involvement. Plaqunil, an antimalarial drug, is an older treatment for Lupus but isn't used by doctors who are current in their Lupus education.
