A blood test. there is a blood test called an ANA that can help diagnose it but a rheumotologist can help because the test is not completely accurate amd has false positives and negatives. Go to your doctor. He can order blood tests that will show weather you have Lupus or not. There are tests to screen for Lupus, and a bunch of other tests to pinpoint what type of Lupus you could have if the screening test come up positive. If you want specific information on these tests, let me know. I am a medical technologist and I work in a hospital laboratory. There are 11 criteria of which diagnosis is obtained if you get 4 or more. |
