Has anyone with Lupus has gotten a tattoo? |
I was just wondering out there has anyone gotton a tattoo after being diagonis with lupus I was just wondering because I'm affraid to ask my doctor I have SLE and I noticed when I got a tattoo with black ink I had no problems but when I got one with lots of color I went into a flare. I have been trying to figure out was it something in the dye? I would talk with your doctor and find out are you more prone to side effects of any kind and what is their advise. Just ask I just got a tattoo a few days ago...and I have Lupus....actually it says Lupus 2002, the year i was diag..... Lupus is an autoimmune disease and therefore makes your more prone to serious infection. There is a risk for infection from anyone getting a tattoo and this would go doubly so for a person with Lupus. It's a matter of how badly you want the tattoo...are you willing to get very sick and possibly have a flare up...is the tattoo that important to you? Only you can answer that question. |

Are you there for oral surgery or for fillings? General anesthesia would only be indicated for oral surgery such as bony impacted third molars (... Never been but would be curious.
