Misdiagnosed with lupus?

I was diagnosed with lupus, and though I have some symptoms, I was wondering if I could have been misdiagnosed.

My aunt who is a nurse and has always been right when it comes to my health, she was the first to suggest I had hypothyroidism (and she was right) as well as when I was a kid and she thought I had petit mal epilepsy (which she was right again). She has a gut feeling its not lupus, and I trust her gut by now.

I'm going to get a second opinion, but I was wondering if there are common things that people often get misdiagnosed with lupus instead.

I have recently been diagnosed with celiac disease and have been reading everything I can find on the subject. Apparently it is very common for people to be misdiagnosed with lupus when they actually have celiac disease. They have similar symptoms. Fortunately celiac is totally controllable by eliminating gluten from your diet.
