MY DAUGHTER IS A DIABETIC and my brother her uncle just died from lupus wihat is her chance of getting this?

Does she have type 1?

Both Lupus and type 1 are autoimmune, so there is a link.

Some of us, like myself, just have a messed up immune system and it attacks the wrong things. I've T1D and RA, but not Lupus. I guess as someone with type 1 you are at a higher risk of developing other autoimmune diseases, but this is not inevitable. Let me put it this way.

Of 2 people I know in real life who have Lupus 0 of them have Diabetes.

Of 8 people I know in real life who have Diabetes, 0 of them have Lupus.

Those are pretty good odds.
