Is lupus communicable? |
i have a friend who recently diagnosed with lupus. my friend and i decided to visit her but my husband will not allow me because i might catch the disease, is it possible? No lupus in not contagious. Is is an auto immune disorder. No, you can't "catch" it. There is a familial association, women who have lupus often have daughters with lupus. And why do you let your husband dictate you? Oh My Gosh! No it is not catching. It runs in the family of arthritis. It is usually genetic. It runs in families. Mostly women. My mother in law had it and her mother and all five sisters. Both of my daughters are going to get a blood test for it. Your body thinks your organs are bad and attacks them. It is a type of re-verse auto immune disease. Auto-immune disorders are not contagious they are passed on through your hereditary genes, and passed through generations. |
