Does anyone else have lupus ?

the only other person i kno wit lupus is my mother and i was wonder if there are any other young people who kno they have lupus.since most people dont find out until later on in life

One of my high school students has it, she's only 16. She's really fragile of health, but she is so involved in many school activities because she just wants to be a normal teenager. She's the sweetest girl I've ever met. I just want to cry when I think about her. It's really unfair.
My cousin in Kansas City has it. She's about 40.
im not sure but i had to get a blood test for it and i havent gotten my test results back, but i am having symptoms of it.
my mom has lupus...she recommended this site:

she says stress has a lot to do w/ how you react to it. i think there's only a 10% chance of the children getting it! but if you have any questions or anything, feel free to email me. we just found out 2 or 3 yrs ago...and it's been a tough road so far...but it comes and goes...just exercise and take care of yourself! i am a health nut, so just keep an eye out...and dont stress over every single thing, as hard as that may be!
life
my sister has a rare form called ehrler's danlos (don't know if i spelled it correctly). it is a connective tissue disorder and her joints dislocate because the muscles are too relaxed and they don't hold up under stress. she had 10 surgeries by the time she was 13 years old. also my grandmother died of lupus as well as two uncles deceased and one uncle living with it. it is a difficult disease to live with because there is so much about lupus that we still don't know.
I have Lupus. I was diagnosed 5 years ago.

You are correct, most people do have this disease later in life. Usually it will strike between 25 years old - 55 years old. I'm sure that I'm your Mom's age.

About 10 years ago, in our local paper, there was a story on a young girl (who was 17 years old at time), who had Lupus. She developed the disease when she was 11 years old. This is the youngest case that I've ever heard of.
