How do I get my Rh. to diagnose my lupus so that ins. will cover Rx's? He mentions lupus but will not make rx There is no sure test for Lupus. It 's diagnosis is based on symptoms. Did he say Lupus anticoagulant? If you have that. it is not Lupus and not an anticoagulant. It is an antibody for a different autoimmune disease- Antiphospholipid Syndrome This can be found in Lupus Patients, but can be a separate disease. I have this. Lupus can be diagnosed by a skin biopsy or a simple blood test. You're doctor can NOT make a diagnoses of Lupus without either one of these, if not both. Basically without either of these tests I wouldn't be rushing to take medications for the disease, it may not be lupus that you have since it also mimicks other conditions, one of which you may have instead of lupus. |
