I need to know if lupus disaes is in harited my sons father has it he just found out a told me he had it? |
I had my son in august after his father left when i was 6 months pergant with him he left then at court he told me he had lupus now i need to find out about it yes, it is possible, put not neccessarily definitive. It depends on if he inherited the gene for lupus... I currently have Rheumatoid Arthritis. The last 3 tests I have had to take are all leaning toward the possibility of Lupus. The exact cause of lupus is unknown. It is likely to be due to a combination of factors. For example, a person's genetic make-up and exposure to certain unknown trigger factors may provide the right environment in which lupus can develop. Lupus is an extremely difficult disease to diagnose as there is no true test for Lupus out there. There are suspicions (but no scientific proof) that people inherit something from their parents that predisposes them to develop lupus. They are not necessarily pre-destined to develop lupus, but they may be more susceptible. At the present time, there are no genetic tests to determine who is susceptible and who is not. In my example I have absolutely nobody in my family that has either Rheumatoid Arthritis or Lupus......so I am a classic example that it may not be genetic after all. Good luck to you and I wish you the best in your situation. |
