If the doctors check for Lupus, would any other (auto-immune diseases) show up as well? |
I have been sick for the past 5 years now. Off and on. They took a lot of blood from me, and did a MRI on my brain. They checked for lupus. They have not checked for MS, and I live with 90% of it's symptoms on a daily basis. My back always hurts (in the spine), but they have not checked it yet. Yes other diseases can mimic lupus. Many auto immune disorders are difficult to diagnosis. Ra and lupus can have similar symptoms. Are you having flares that would indicate lupus? Do you have joint pain other than your back? With lupus and Ra with the onset of the disorder you can get an ugly rash and it hurts.....not itches but hurts. I have valley fever, it acts like lupus and RA. Have you had a bone scan? That would would help rule out some disease. If they did a MRI of your brain, either you don't have MS or are in extremely early stages. I was being checked for MS, and it was ruled out by a negative MRI of the brain. |
