I was recently diagnosed with Lupus. I need to find out everything about it. Can you help me? Hi. First, don't freak out! Stay out of the sun and avoid stress as these are both Lupus triggers. Try and use only natural/organic products because your body is sensitive to all chemicals (you just don't know it yet). Don't let anyone tell you that you only have a certain amount of time to live because it's just not true! Find a Lupus support group in your area and only work with a doctor that will listen to you. It is your body so ask questions! You should already be working with a Rheumatologist and if not request a referral from your M.D. Learn to listen to your body. When you need to rest do it. You will need to modify your life but it is manageable. Lupus can go from joint pain and fatigue to organ involvement but each individual is different and none of these things could pertain to you. Be strong in mind, body and spirit and most important, don't Lupus take over your life! You'll do great and it doesn't hurt to ask God for guidance and strength.
