i have add blood work, Mri, scans, xrays, doppler scans. dr has told me horomones are par t of the problem and now my gall bladder. i am tired of feeling bad, joint pain, redness, swelling, severe fatigue. affecting my family life and life in general. I am making myself housebound. dont like to go out at all, will make up excuses to stay in. am on xanax, relafan, lunesta, plaquenil, vicoprofen, and others. You are seriously messed up. Is it even possible to have all of that at once? You need a serious support group. you need hyperbaric oxygen therapy Dr. Rafael Kelman 212 679 9667 Check the coping sections on these sites. You can also find support groups on them. Talking with others that share your ailments and can relate to your daily frustrations may help. http://www.lupus.org/ http://www.nationalmssociety.org/... http://www.fmnetnews.com/pages/coping.ht... http://www.fmaware.org/patient/coping.ht... Also try to find a good network of doctors, preferably in the same office/hospital. It'll be easier if the different specialties can treat your different systemic issues as a joint venture. A lot of doctor's just treat symptoms with medication at times when it's not always beneficial. Try to find doctors that will try to keep you at a minimum with the different meds. Your liver is at high risk as it is, without having to deal with the med load you're on. (Not saying all medications are bad, just that some doctors are quick to push them on people) You may need to shop around a bit to find some that you're comfortable with. But in the meantime try to find support... your family and friends can understand but so much of how you're feeling or going through. Good Luck and I hope that you can find some kind of balance in your life. are you sure you don't just have ONE disease called hepatitis c? it can cause bi-directional diseases that are misdiagnosed as something else! your gallbladder could be damaged because of the hcv, but then again, your on quite a bit of medication that can cause the gallbladder to act up, because the liver is damaged from the meds.... good luck...i know how you must feel! hcv advocate, victim (for almost 30 years) and cured with avct! When the traditional medications and treatments fail to work, and the medications start attacking your body, instead of healing it, then it may be time to try some alternative medicine. It works where others fail. Find a homeopathic doctor (reputable one, of course.) Also, educate yourself on the illnesses you have as well as the meds you take. All the meds you take are hard on the bodies organs. A really helpful book with a lot of resources is listed below. It is full of information that will help you help yourself in many ways. There also is a very good book called, Fibromyalgia & chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome, A Survival Manual by: Devin starlanyl, M.D. and Mary Ellen Copeland, M.S., M.A. |
