Does anyone know anything about Lupus Anticoagulant? I know that lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that is found primarily in women. In a healthy person, the imune system fights against invading bacteria, yet in a person with lupus, the imune system basically turns on itself. Eventually, the immune system can attack vital organs. It can be linked to genetics, yet only around 10% of lupus patients have had a family member with the disease. I believe that it can develop and any age and is sometimes triggered by ultraviolet light, reactions to medicines..etc. I also think that red skin rashes(mostly on the face) are a symptom of lupus. there is a defferce between lupus and lupus anticoagulant.
