How common is it for Lupus (SLE) to run in families? |
I have 2 sisters who have been diagnosed with Lupus and I have many of the same symptoms, (I have a check-up tommorow in which I am going to request an ANA test). Is this common or do my sisters and I have bad health genes? No one else in my family has been diagnosed with Lupus that I am aware of. Lupus is an auto immune disease. It does run in families as do autoimmune diseases. I have a cousin with Lupus, Dad died of Scleraderma [ sp? ] and I have Cushings and diabetes. Good luck to you. Very common .
