Does anyone out there have Systemic Lupus? (serious question)? |
Is anyone suffering with rashes in this heat. I am using factor 60 but I'm still breaking out in a rash. Any tips. If you have systemic lupus you shouldn't be out in the sun at all because most people with lupus are highly photosensitive. You can worsen your lupus by UV exposure and suntan lotion won't really help protect you. Your rheumatologist should have already discussed this with you and I think you need to discuss this issue with him before getting any more sun exposure. More rash generally means more active lupus. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... http://www.emedicinehealth.com/lupus_sys... try the aveno sun screen its better I have discoid lupus and it helps Your sun cream might not agree with your skin, might need a more sensitive one. Fabric in clothes can also irritate. Cottons are best Hope this helps.x.x.x.x Time heals, so they say. I sympathise with you but it is the weather, you just have to endure until the heat subsides. meanwhile, wash skin regularly with mild soap and clean water, dry and apply some talcum powder. Cheers. seea doctor or it might be that you are alloergic to the product you are using try using a different brrand of sunprotection see whether thyat helps Please see the webpages for more details on Systemic Lupus Erythematosis.(An acute or subacute, remitting, febrile disease principally of young women, with wide spread collagen damage in many organs or systems.) http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/systemic_lu... http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/medica... |
