Can i get a tatto with lupus? |
i have lupus and i had it for 3 years and i want to know if i can get a tatto while having lupus will i get sick ??? please give me detail The advice from most specialist and SLE websites is totally against the tattoo getting.Because of the chance of Hepatitis C and other diseases. The danger is with the already weakened immune system, being invaded with these viruses, and seriously compromising your renal and liver function. That's something you cannot risk, ever. These shop's may say there clean etc,but it's never 100 %. You can live healthier without one. Take care. SW FNP I would recommend against it strongly. Anything that causes your immune system to become more active puts you at risk for a flare. Your skin is your biggest defence system and attacking it with ink could cause an autoimmune reaction that could make you sick. I would talk thiis one over with your doctor very carefully before going under the needle. Also remember that you're probably more sensitive to inks and dyes than other people and your chance of an allergic reaction to the ink the tattoo artist would use is higher than average. Tattoos always have risks, but those risks might be too great for you to chance. Mom's had lupus for 15 years... a combo of massage, doctor-administered-accupunctu... and herbal teas have put her in full remission for 5 years. |
